Chef Marcel Taillefer started his culinary career at the age of 12.  Influenced by Ritz Carlton’s Chef Louis Diat’s French cooking style, Marcel blends this into his menus for Rawley’s Lighthouse 45 with flourishes of French cold-pressed olive oils, truffle oils, Herbs de Provence, and the restaurant’s herb garden. . In 1997, he was featured in Bon Appetit Magazines in BBQ issue, he was voted Orillia’s Best Chef in 2015, and won the Chopped Canada competition hosted at Casino Rama.
